GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The portable RC-250B curing system rapidly cures a wide range of UV light-initiated adhesives and coatings. This versatile and heavy duty unit is ideal for fast precision curing on the production line as well as for precision rework and prototyping. Since the energy is radiated in intermittent pulses, minimum heat is transmitted to the substrate and temperature sensitive parts will not be damaged.

The RC-250B offers instant ON with high peak power for deep penetration and complete cures. Secure wire and coil terminations are made easily and complex printed circuit boards are easier to repair with the RC-250B.

This unique system is self-contained and requires only a standard 120V, 50/60Hz, 220V, 50/60Hz or 240V, 50/60Hz electrical outlet for operation*. Easy lamp replacement minimizes downtime. Plus, it’s instant on/off is energy efficient resulting in low operating costs.

Maximum life is obtained from the Pulse UV Lamp because it operates only during curing process. The basic unit comes complete with a 3/8-inch diameter UV light source (option 4), but is also available with a 1-inch x 2.5-inch light port (option 14) or a ¾-inch diameter light guide (option 12). Front panel timer control allows the operator to quickly set the cure time from 0.1 to 4.0 seconds.

OPTIONS

The RC-250B is available with a range of options to help customize a system:

Option 4 - The pulse uv lamp cover is modified with a 3/8-inch diameter quartz rod light guide that concentrates the light output into a small area.

Option 5 - A footswitch and 5-foot cable assembly plugs into the connector on the front panel to supplement the standard start switch on the curing wand.

Option 12 - ¾-inch diameter quartz rod light guide

Option 14 - 1-inch x 2.5-inch light port on the curing head

Option 19 - Stand for curing wand

Pulse UV Lamps: A, B or C Lamp

SAFETY and ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS

Like all of Xenon Corporations curing systems, Model RC-250B is mercury free. The pulsed UV process is environmentally benign since it does not create or use volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or create suspended airborne particulates.
